There’s no dearth of gritty crime thrillers on OTT platforms, in fact, you might be hard-pressed to find a show that isn’t dark and hard-hitting, While the gory Mirzapur found a strong fan base among fans, several other shows became a rage among viewers that dealt with similar themes of betrayal, bloodlust, complicated family bonds and mafia-related violence. Before Sushmita Sen’s Aarya and Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man, there was Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Sacred Games that had kickstarted the whole genre in India itself.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Ops sees Kay Kay Menon as Himmat Singh, a member of the Research and Analysis Wing, who forms a team of five agents as he has to hunt down the man responsible for the terror attacks in India. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, Criminal Justice chronicles the adventures of individuals as they try to make sense of the justice system in India. The show stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Jackie Shroff and Anupriya Goenka.

Breathe and its subsequent sequel, Breathe Into The Shadows stars Amit Sadh, Abhishek Bachchan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles.
