A young revolutionary freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh’s courage and sacrifice in the fight for India’s independence continue to inspire generations. Nicknamed “Shaheed Bhagat Singh” (Martyr Bhagat Singh), his execution at the young age of 23 only solidified his place as a national hero.
Shaheed Diwas, observed on this day, honours not only Bhagat Singh, but Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar who gave their lives for our freedom. It’s a day to reflect on their sacrifices and rekindle the spirit of patriotism.
