NYCFC have unveiled their new 2016 secondary jersey – but is the new kit a hit or a miss?
New York City FC stars David Villa and Andrea Pirlo helped unveil the club's new kit on Tuesday – by taking to the streets of the Big Apple.
The World Cup-winning duo, along with midfielder Kwadwo Poku, took to the five boroughs to give fans a first glimpse of the new shirt, which is dividing opinions on social media.
The new shirt features a dark blue base with a lighter blue ripple pattern, which according to the club's official website "takes its inspiration from the vibrant, energy of New York City".
At the epicentre of the effect is the club crest, while, additionally, on the interior neck tape comes the words "this city never sleeps".

Club captain Villa was enthusiastic about the new shirt, which features adiZero technology to help regulate temperature.
“I love this jersey. It is a unique design and our team is excited to wear it as we represent our club and our fans on the road.
"It was a pleasure to be able to make sure our fans saw the jersey first. They make the Club what it is, so it is important for us to make them part of everything we do.”
NYCFC missed out on a play-off spot in their debut MLS season, and have since hired Patrick Vieira as their new head coach.
