Election results: Tri-State school, police department levy issues – WLWT Cincinnati

In Colerain Township, the police department were again asking for a levy to be passed that would raise $6.638 annually to maintain staffing levels while also expanding to hire more officers. If passed, it would have cost neighbors $128 per $100,000 in home value.
In Fairfield, the city’s school district asked voters to pass a 6.9 mill levy. The district said the money would be used to avoid cuts to educational programs, staffing and transportation.
Voters voted against the levy, with 54% voting against. It would have cost homeowners $242 per $100,000 in home value.
Up in Warren County, one of the big talkers is the Kings Local School District bond.
They’re trying to build a new high school because of overcrowding.
The bond issue passed. It will cost a little over $200 annually per $100,000 in home value. But district leaders said their estimate will be much lower at $123 a year.
