Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra IMEI details

Spotted by Android Headlines, the yet-to-be-launched Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has appeared on the IMEI database with the model number “SM-S938U,” similar to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s “SM-S928U” model number.

The IMEI listing confirms that the flagship smartphone is under development, and the “U” in the model number hints it will be launched in the US, alongside other markets. However, it does not reveal any features of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

So far, major tips regarding the Galaxy S25 Ultra were related to its camera. However, tipster BenIt Bruhner Pro, on X, has come up with the complete features and specifications of the upcoming smartphone. Take a look at the expected details of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. But do note that they are based on speculations.

• Design: The tipster did not reveal any image of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra but posted that it will likely feature a new camera layout, most likely with a “squircle” shape camera lens. The phone will likely offer a new design alongside new colour options.
• Display: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED 2x display with 3000 nits of peak brightness compared to a 6.8-inch display with 2,600 nits of peak brightness on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
• Chipset: As per the tipster, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, corroborating recent reports. It is worth noting that the predecessor was launched with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Therefore, we also expect the upcoming flagship chipset for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
• Rear cameras: Similar to a recent tip, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is once again said to come with a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and another 50MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom. • Software: The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is anticipated to come with Android 15-based One UI 7.1 for a deeper AI integration. The tipster claims the phone will feature 7 years of software updates and 7 years of security patches, like its predecessor.
• Battery: The tipster says the Galaxy S25 Ultra might feature a battery between 5,000mAh and 5,500mAh with 65W wired fast charging. It might also pack 25W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging features. The predecessor has a 5,000mAh battery, alongside 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support.
• AI features: The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra introduced AI features in the series, such as Live Translate, Chat Assist, and much more. However, the new tips mentioned that the smartphone will be included with Google’s Gemini Nano and Samsung Gauss language models.
