The Minecraft 1.21 Tricky Trials update brings a new type of door to the game, though it’s not made of wood. That’s right, the second metal door to ever be introduced to Minecraft is the copper door. So, in this guide, we will show you the material you need and the steps to make a copper door in the Minecraft 1.21 update.
Resources You Need to Make Copper Door
For the crafting recipe of the copper door, you will need:
How to Craft Copper Door in Minecraft
Once you have a crafting table and have smelted raw copper into ingots, follow the steps below:
- Place the crafting table and interact with it.
- Now, fill two adjacent columns of the crafting grid with six copper ingots.
- As you can see, three copper doors will appear on the right.
- You can now move the doors to your inventory and start using them in your Minecraft house builds.
Where Can You Find Copper Door
If you don’t have any copper ore (see Minecraft ore distribution) but still want to use these beautiful copper doors in your build, then you can visit the trial chambers. They generate underground in the Overworld and are pretty common.
You may find trial chambers in four unique ways, which our linked guide covers in great detail. This structure is made up of tuff and copper blocks with copper doors being available in the corridor. You won’t find many of them, but at least it’s a start.
Copper doors behave like wooden doors and don’t require a redstone signal to close and open. Also, they can oxidize and exist in four different stages. You can revert the stage by scraping it with an axe or freeze it by using honeycomb on the door. Similar properties apply to the copper trapdoor as well.
With that said, you can now make a new metal door to add medieval vibes to your build. Now you know what you need to make a copper door and what its crafting recipe is in Minecraft 1.21. If this guide was helpful to you, do share it with other Minecraft players. Until next time, happy building!
