Wordle 716 5/6*
🟨⬜⬜🟨⬜ IRONY
🟨🟨⬜🟨⬜ NICER
⬜🟨🟩🟨⬜ FINER
⬜🟨🟩⬜🟩 VENTI
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ENNUI
This one tested me. I have no idea why I hung onto the R for so long after I eliminated it with my first guess. Inexplicably, I also guessed FINER, knowing full well that the I was not in the second spot. Another cup of coffee is certainly in order today.
I tried hard to solve the mystery of the R, repeating it three times before I made a change. Maybe I got confused between the I and the R. Or it might simply have been difficult for me to come up with words with I and N in certain positions, such as NI___ (I went with NICER) and _IN__ (I landed on FINER).
After playing those words, I was left with N, I and E, and I knew N was the center letter.
A word that looked like __N_I was the only possibility. But where should the E go?
