Kentucky 10, Western Michigan 8
It looked like Kentucky was going to run away with a victory in the first game of the Lexington Regional, but fate had other plans.
The Wildcats took an 8-0 lead on Western Michigan, but a five-run fifth inning from the Broncos made things interesting. Kentucky scored two in the bottom of the inning, which proved to be consequential as Western Michigan tacked on three additional runs but came up just short at 10-8.
