The same has happened with IPTV-org, a Github repository that has disappeared overnight without offering any explanation.
On Github we could find access to thousands of channels until recently thanks to the IPTV lists. The service IPTV-org It offered almost 8,000 television channels from around the world for free from this platform, but now its traces have disappeared.
From now on, access to this IPTV playlist that seemed completely legal, has been disabled. entering the Github repositorytells us the following: “Access to this repository has been disabled by GitHub staff due to a violation of the GitHub Terms of Service. If you are the owner of the repository, you can contact GitHub Support for more information».
The same thing happens if we enter the link of some of their M3U lists, which it returns a 404 error: “File not found. The site configured at this address does not contain the requested file.”.
IPTV-org was an alternative that compiled more than 8,000 available television channels from all over the world, with a large selection of countries among which there were more than 1,000 channels in
Spanishwith English being the dominant language. These were offered for free, so the fact of not paying anything to get to have these channels made us think that it was only a compilation of official sources and did not violate rights.
They mainly served a large list of world channels and another one with adult content. In addition, within the GitHub web page that we have left you above, we found that the IPTV lists are divided into different sections: categories, language, country or region, which made it really easy to find content that we liked.
When it was still working, we found other divisions so that we could quickly access the television content that interested us. For example, we will find the playlists that are sorted by Category. In this tab, we saw comedy, children’s, entertainment, music, series and much more.
On the Github website where the project was stored we could see a section called «Grouped by country». There we could search for the lists filtered by country. It was enough to display that section by clicking on “Expand” and a list with all the available countries would open. It was enough to copy the URL of the country in question (in the case of Spain, disabled) to import it to VLC or any other player.
I think this is a real great blog.Really looking forward to read more. Fantastic.
