Live ALGS competition returns this August in Germany.
EA have today revealed that the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs will be held in Mannheim, Germany. The four days of international Apex Legends action will take place at the SAP Arena. Competition will take place between August 29 and September 1.
This is the first ALGS LAN to be held in mainland Europe since the initial ALGS Pre-Season Invitational in Poland all the way back in 2019. The ALGS has previously visited the UK and Sweden in Europe.
This announcement sets the stage for an intense end to the ALGS season, with Regional Finals in APAC South and North taking place this weekend.
ALGS Split 2 Playoffs heads to Germany
The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs heading to Germany continues the global accessibility of the esport. Events have been held around the world, with the most recent event taking place in Los Angeles, California.
However, most ALGS fans would be forgiven for not being familiar with Mannheim or the SAP Arena. The Arena, home primarily to Ice Hockey is one of the largest and most high-tech entertainment venues in the country. It has hosted some huge international sports events. However, the arrival of the ALGS will be the first esports event in the venue.
Depending on the set up, the arena can host up to 15,000 people. The ALGS typically uses half of an arena, so expect there to be around 6-8,000 Apex Legends fans packed in for the action.

Can I get tickets?
At the moment, tickets are not avaliable for the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs. EA say that ticket sales will be announced shortly. However, fans will be pleased that details of this event are being announced with significantly much more notice than Split 1. That allows plenty of time for fans to plan their trip no matter where they are in the world.
With the best 40 teams in action, this should be a phenomenal weekend of Apex Legends. Additionally, this will be the first ALGS LAN event to feature the new ‘Team Falcons superteam’. The trio of Genbuten, ImperialHal and Zer0 are already mathematically qualified.
